PEDDLING RAINBOWS

A captivating musical that can’t be topped for wit, charm, and impudence!”
-- New York Daily News

IRMA LA DOUCE (1960)

SEPTEMBER 25 – OCTOBER 12, 2008

Book & Lyrics by ALEXANDRE BREFFORT
Music by MARGUERITE MONNOT
English Book & Lyrics by JULIAN MORE, DAVID HENEKER & MONTY NORMAN.

A rare production of the Parisian musical comedy that became the toast of London and New York! Billy Wilder’s hit movie version starred Shirley MacLaine as Irma, a carefree Montmartre streetwalker whose life is turned upside down when she falls in love with a law student.

Marguerite Monnot’s atmospheric and tuneful score includes the hits
Our Language of Love, Dis-Donc, as well as Valse Milieu, and There is Only One Paris For That.

Directed by GREG MACKELLAN
Musical Director: DAVE DOBRUSKY
Choreographer: LINDA POSNER
